Run club in Dawlish
Dawlish Coasters is a running club for adults aged 18 and over with mixed-ability runners. Weekday training runs last about an hour, start from Barton car park in Dawlish and are led by volunteer run leaders or coaches, with routes varying around Dawlish and the surrounding area. Sessions are split into named groups covering social runs, beginner runs, intervals and longer endurance runs, plus Sunday hilly and easy social runs.
Weekday groups include Swans (relaxed social 5-8K with stops), Cygnets (steady 5-6K for 0-5K graduates, newcomers and those returning from injury), Puffins (interval sessions with no minimum pace), Dolphins (longer, mostly non-stop endurance runs), Fishes (continuous 7-9K endurance runs) and Seals (walking group). Sunday options are the Hedgehogs (long hilly routes starting at 8 miles and increasing weekly, all paces) and the Seagulls (easy social run, with coffee and cake once a month). Faster runners loop back to collect improvers. Prospective members can run a couple of times before signing up; membership is via the Membership Form 2026-2027 on the site.
