Run club in Rimouski
Club de Coureurs sur route La Cavale is a road running club in Rimouski, Quebec, founded in 1980, for adults of all ages and all levels from beginner to competitive. Group sessions are structured and led by qualified coaches, with separate performance and recreational streams. The summer season offers a Monday track session plus a choice of a Wednesday or Thursday session at varied locations around the city, and a weekly plan including a long run done individually at the weekend.
Membership covers 24 weeks of group activity from May to October, with three weekly session slots to choose from, a modular weekly training plan for all levels (short and long distance), use of TrainingPeaks, supervised sessions on varied terrain (athletics track, Promenade de la Mer, Sentier le Littoral, Parc Beauséjour and other sites), information sessions on topics such as running technique, and partner discounts. Runners choose between a Performance stream for those chasing personal targets and a Recreational stream focused on enjoyable running at a comfortable pace; a mentor coach supports new beginners for the first six Monday track sessions. The 2026 summer season runs from the week of 11 May to 21 October, with registration opening 21 March 2026: 180 CAD if registered by 13 May, then 210 CAD, including the 40 CAD club membership fee, plus a compulsory Athlétisme Québec affiliation fee of 16.20 CAD; membership without training is available for the 40 CAD fee alone. A winter season from mid-November to early May provides a weekly training plan that runners can complete in self-organised groups by level.
