Run club in Old Tupton
Chesterfield & District Athletics Club is a Derbyshire athletics club formed in 1978, covering track and field, cross country and road running for all ages and abilities from age 9 upwards. Training is based at Tupton Hall School, which has a floodlit all-weather track plus an indoor sports hall and gym. Sessions are general club training, with athletes moving on to event-specific coaching once ready, and members are expected to compete when selected.
General training runs on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, 18:45 to 20:15, with members meeting from 18:35 (entry to the school and track area is not permitted before 18:35). Sessions run all year round apart from two weeks at Christmas. Each session costs ยฃ4, payable at every session including during induction. New starters join through the club Academy, covering running, jumping and throwing, and are allowed four sessions before membership is required; annual membership renewal is handled via an online form and registration with England Athletics.
