Run club in Edinburgh
Carnethy Hill Running Club is a hill running club based in Edinburgh. Its website is largely given over to club race reports and results, including the Carnethy Handicap Series and other club-organised races. Members take part in hill races on routes such as Arthur's Seat, Capelaw, Carlops and Glencorse, with both men and women listed in results.
The club runs a six-race Handicap Series each year (Triple Tops, Lost Socks, Capelaw, Carlops, Glencorse and Arthur's Seat), scored on a runner's best three results plus a completion bonus, with handicap starts so runners of different speeds finish together. The Arthur's Seat Classic also doubles as the club relay selection time trial and includes a mass start alongside the handicap start. The series is organised by club volunteers, with a handicap sub-committee planned for 2027. The available website text does not state weekly training times, membership costs or contact details. scottishathletics affiliated club.
