Run club in Norwich
Bure Valley Harriers is a small running club based in the Norwich area with members of all abilities. It holds regular evening sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays plus weekend runs, and members also enter races locally and further afield. Meeting places change between winter and summer, with sessions including efforts, hills, track work and road or trail runs.
Training is described as structured and varied, suited to a range of abilities. Winter (start of October to end of March): Tuesdays and Thursdays at Heartsease Open Academy, NR7 9DL, at 18:15, with a private lockable room and toilets but no changing facilities; the venue is used for effort sessions and runs. Summer (start of April to end of September): Tuesdays at Worstead, NR28 9WH, at 18:15, using quiet country lanes, hill sessions and a grassy field for warm-ups, efforts and cool-downs; Thursdays at Sloughbottom Park, NR3 2ES, at 18:15, with out-and-back runs along the Marriott's Way and effort sessions in the park. Saturdays include regular track and hill sessions and club outings to parkruns, and the club also runs on Sunday mornings plus an occasional beach run. All meeting locations have ample parking. Members take part in races locally and elsewhere in the country, and the club organises the Bure Valley 10 mile race (next on Sunday 27 September 2026).
