Run club in Benalla
Benalla Running Group is a recreational running club in Benalla, Victoria, formed in 2024 by local runners wanting to improve community health and wellbeing. It caters for all ages and abilities, with members in 2024 ranging from their early 20s to mid 70s. Weekly group runs start from the cenotaph next to the lake, with social runs often held at the weekend.
The group is incorporated (Benalla Running Group Inc.) and run by a volunteer committee. Weekly training sessions listed are summer hours: Monday evening, Wednesday early morning and Thursday morning, all meeting at the cenotaph by the lake. Members also often run together socially on Sundays, take part in the weekly Benalla Botanical Gardens parkrun, and enter a range of running events.
