About

Barnes Runners is a volunteer-run community running club in south-west London, founded in 2005 and registered with England Athletics. It is open to adults aged 18 or older of all abilities, from beginners to experienced marathon runners, and also has a junior section called Barnes Flyers. Typical sessions are a Tuesday evening social club run of around 10K, with an optional 5K route, and a Thursday morning structured interval session on the local athletics track.

Two regular weekly running sessions: Tuesday evening club runs from Rose House on Barnes High Street (meet 19:00 for a 19:15 start), typically a 10K social run with an optional 5K route, led by experienced members, with space to leave kit; and Thursday morning track sessions at Barn Elms Sports Trust track at 07:15, structured interval training suitable for all levels. Routes include the Thames towpath and Richmond Park, and members can represent the club at races including the Surrey League and cross-country. No registration is needed — simply turn up to a Tuesday or Thursday session, where the session host will introduce newcomers and visitors. An England Athletics membership option is offered. Club runs are for runners aged 18 or older covering distances from 5km upwards; those not yet at that distance are pointed to the Couch to 5k app. Contact: info@barnesrunners.com, or via Facebook and Instagram. England Athletics affiliated club.
