Run club in Woolgoolga
Woolgoolga Athletics Club is a year-round athletics club on the NSW North Coast, dating back to the 1980s, catering to all ages from Little Athletics through to seniors and masters. Alongside its junior programme it runs Monday night senior training and family-focused winter cross country, and says it is looking for older teens and adults of all abilities to join the senior sessions. Members range from beginners to high-level competitors, with the club describing the atmosphere as friendly and competitive.
The year is split into a Summer season (October to March) with track and field interclub, zone, regional, state and national competitions, and a Winter season (April to September) focused on cross country. Senior training runs at 16:30 every Monday from October to March, and cross country training is held on Sundays from April to August; all sessions are at or around Solitary Islands Sportsground, behind the tennis club. The club also runs Mid-North Coast Cross Country and a "Bunch of 5's" series, plus an annual Woolgoolga Carnival that includes senior events. Registration is completed online through the registration page on the club website, where current pricing is listed; the club is volunteer-run and further contact details are on the club website. NSW Athletics affiliated club.
