Run club in Manchester
Winston Runners is a running club based in Wythenshawe, Manchester, open to runners aged 16 and over of mixed age and ability, from beginners to experienced athletes. The main session is a coached track session at Wythenshawe Park on Tuesdays, with further runs on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. Members are encouraged to race locally and nationally, and the club enters the Manchester Area Cross Country League.
Sessions include a coached track session on Tuesday evening at Wythenshawe Park Athletics Track that accommodates all ability levels, a Thursday evening run (in summer from the Ship Inn car park in Styal with Manchester Harriers, with an optional social drink afterwards; in winter from the Winston Club car park in Baguley on well-lit local roads over 4 to 8 miles), a Saturday morning parkrun at Wythenshawe Park, and a longer Sunday run of around 10 miles from Styal.
