About

Williamstown Athletic Club is an athletics club serving Melbourne's inner western suburbs, established in 1925 and affiliated with Athletics Victoria. It caters to people of all ages and abilities, from social joggers wanting to improve fitness to experienced athletes competing at state, national and international level. Training covers running events as well as jumps, throws, hurdles and steeplechase, and is mostly held at the club's home track at Newport Park.

The club competes in the Athletics Victoria calendar: the Cross Country Series (XCR) runs from May to September, and the Track and Field AV Shield competition runs from October to April, so the club is active year round. A team of experienced coaches supports members across a range of events and disciplines, and members have access to a full IAAF-standard synthetic track, gym and indoor warm-up area. No set weekly session days or times are published; membership and joining details are available by contacting the club through the website. Athletics Victoria athletics club.
