Team Derby Runner

Team Derby Runner is a flexible-membership running club based at The Derby Runner running shop in Derby. It is aimed at runners who want the benefits of club membership — coaching advice, event discounts and a club vest — without committing to fixed club nights or team events. Members run largely at their own pace and in their own time, with optional coached sessions arranged for those who want them.

Membership costs £22 per year and includes a subsidised club vest, reduced entry fees to events, member-only offers, and free advice from athletics coaches, podiatrists and physiotherapists. There are no fixed club nights and no obligation to race in particular events; members are told they can do as much or as little as they like. Regular coached training sessions are organised from time to time for members who want to attend them, and members receive updates on local events and running articles by email, website and social media.
