Run club in St Neots
St Neots Riverside Runners is a running club based in St Neots, Cambridgeshire, established in 1987 and affiliated to England Athletics and the Association of Running Clubs. It caters for beginners, experienced, competitive and social runners, men and women of all ages, and also runs a junior section for ages 8 to 17. Members take part in road running, cross-country, longer distance events, the Frostbite Friendly League and the Round Norfolk Relay, alongside a year-long club championship.
Senior club training nights are Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, with a full session list on the Club Training Schedule page; the site notes Monday club runs are the shortest and may suit newcomers best. Qualified coaches lead designated sessions. Prospective members can run with the club a few times before joining but should be able to run or jog three miles without stopping; complete beginners are directed to the New to Running page. New attenders are asked to use the Contact Us page beforehand so someone can meet them on their first visit. Two membership types are offered: full/affiliated membership including England Athletics affiliation (avoiding the ยฃ2 unattached race levy and giving other affiliation benefits), and second claim/unaffiliated membership for those already affiliated elsewhere. Joining is done online via the Join The Club page. The club organises the Riverside 10K and the St Neots Half Marathon, sells training kit, and holds social evenings at the Rowing Club plus summer social runs, a club quiz and an annual presentation evening. England Athletics affiliated club.
