South Canterbury Amateur Athletics Club

South Canterbury Amateur Athletics Club is a track and field athletics club based in Timaru, New Zealand, offering athletics for all ages and abilities. Alongside junior grades and a Run Jump Throw programme for younger children, it has competitive and social membership categories for ages 15 and over, including adults aged 23 and above. Activity centres on club training sessions and Friday club competitions at Martins Field, with Canterbury interclub competitions in Christchurch on Saturdays.

The season runs from early October through April, and registration is handled online via the Gameday portal (links and contact details are on the club website). Club training is listed for athletes aged 10 and above, Monday to Thursday, with times yet to be confirmed for the current season; one page also lists club training on Wednesday evenings from 16:00 to 17:00. Club competitions are held on Friday evenings, and Canterbury interclub competitions take place in Christchurch on Saturdays. Annual membership for the 2026/27 season is listed as $149.69 for competitive members aged 15 to 19, $166.69 for ages 20 to 22, $175.69 for ages 23 and over, and $103.85 for social members aged 15 and over, with Gameday and Athletics New Zealand transaction fees added. Registrations are due by the first Saturday in November, and after that date casual competition rates apply at $5.00 per Saturday for seniors and $3.00 for juniors; visitors may compete on club competition Fridays at casual rates but cannot contest club championships or cups. Canterbury Children's registration is a separate fee paid directly to CCAA. The club is affiliated directly with Athletics Canterbury and Athletics New Zealand, has accredited and community coaches, and also looks for volunteers and officials.
