Somer AC — a run club in Radstock. England Athletics affiliated club. Activities: cross country, road running, track field. RunAndTalk club (mental-health friendly).

Members can join at any time and are invited to come along for a trial session before joining. Membership is an annual fee (with family discount options) plus weekly subscription fees to attend sessions; affiliation to England Athletics is optional (listed as £20 optional for 2025) and gives insurance and a £2 discount on race entries. Members get access to structured group training, track and field facilities on Thursdays in summer with occasional use of the University of Bath athletics track, toilets, changing facilities and free parking, a monthly 5k time trial, discounts at running and sports retailers, social and running events, a members-only Facebook group, and a chance of a guaranteed London Marathon place for UKA-affiliated athletes with over 12 months of membership. Beginners courses run once or twice a year over 10 sessions; the winter 2026 course starts Tuesday 6 January at 19:15 at Norton Hill School, with each session lasting about an hour. Booking is through the club's ClubPal management system, where a beginners pass can be purchased; attendees need a high-visibility reflective bib, available from the club store. On completing the course participants receive a free club training top and a year's free club membership. England Athletics affiliated club.
