SLACers Running Club

SLACers Running Club is a social running and athletics club for adults of all abilities, based around the Seaford Little Athletics Centre in Victoria, Australia. It was formed in early 2020 to provide local social athletics and cross country competition for adults, and its members include parents and grandparents of Little Athletics competitors as well as young adults who have aged out of Little Athletics. Members range from complete beginners and those running or walking for fitness to people competing and chasing goals from a first 5km up to a marathon or 100km event, with track, cross country, race-walking and road running all offered in a relaxed and supportive setting.

Membership runs on a season basis (currently the 2026-27 season) and is registered through the club's Join Now page, with separate pathways for returning members who already hold an Athletics Victoria profile and for new members who need to create one. Registration fees apply; a discount may be available for existing Athletics Victoria members joining SLACers as a secondary club, and discounts also apply to families with three or more members in the same household - enquiries go through the enquiry form on the club website. Membership is open to anyone aged 17 or over (or not eligible for Little Athletics Victoria membership), including parents, grandparents and other carers of Little Athletics competitors, and to young adults who have aged out of Little Athletics. The 2026 season uses a collaborative cross country format shared with Seaford, Chelsea, Frankston and Mornington Little Athletics, with competition rotating around a range of venues; a Peninsula XC schedule is available to download from the site.
