Saint-Laurent Sélect

Club d'athlétisme Saint-Laurent Sélect is a non-profit athletics club founded in 1985 and based in the Saint-Laurent borough of Montreal. It coaches across throws, jumps, sprints and hurdles, combined events and middle distance, and runs a para-athletics stream, with certified coaches and a stated focus on individual athlete development. Published programmes are aimed mainly at ages 4 to 17, though the club says it offers programmes for all ages and three of its athletes competed for Canada at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

The club covers all five athletics event groups (throws, jumps, sprints and hurdles, combined events, middle distance) plus a para-athletics stream, so training is track-and-field based rather than road running. Published programmes are age-banded: athletics introduction (4-6), athletic development (7-17), competitive youth programme (9-17) and para athletics grouped by classification; the site states programmes exist for all ages but gives no adult group details. Training is held outdoors at the Ben-Leduc track in Parc Marcel-Laurin, moving indoors from November to April between Lauren Hill school, the Saint-Laurent sports complex and Centre Claude-Robillard. The club is a non-profit, part-funded by the Saint-Laurent borough sports and community leisure service, and also recruits volunteers and officials.
