Run club in Stoke-On-Trent
North Staffordshire Road Runners Association (NSRRA) is a membership association set up in July 1974 to promote road running in the North Staffordshire region. It runs a road race league rather than regular group training runs: members are placed in ability groups (seven men's and five ladies' groups) and there are also age-category leagues from 40-44, 45-50 and upwards. Members take part in the chosen races on the annual fixture list at venues across the area.
Each season 20 races are selected for the NSRRA programme and the best 12 performances count towards the league competition; in each event the first, second, third, fourth and so on in each group score 50, 49, 48, 47 points and so on. Members can run as few or as many races as they wish, though 12 races are normally needed to compete at the top of a group or age category, and 6 races are needed to qualify for an award (apart from memorial awards). Group Winner Awards are available at the Clayton 10k, Meerbrook 15k, South Cheshire 20 and Flying Fox 10. The site has renewal and new entrant membership links, race entry and results links, group letter lists, latest standings and team tables, and a weekly podcast, Couch to Coached, with Ben Russell and Rob Sillito. Remaining 2026 fixtures include Werrington 10k on 11 October at 10:00, Flying Fox 10 mile on 1 November at 10:30 and Cheddleton 10k on 28 November at 14:00; the 2027 season opens with PAU Alsager 5 mile on 7 February at 11:00.
