Run club in Barnstaple
North Devon Road Runners is a running club based in Barnstaple, North Devon, open to people of all abilities. Members run for fitness, enjoyment and speed, with both non-competitive and competitive options. Weekly sessions are group runs on Tuesday and coached sessions on Thursday, with coaching and encouragement available for those who want to race.
The club meets at the Tarka Tennis Centre, where members can use a meeting area, changing rooms, showers and a cafe. Prospective members are invited to come along for a week or two before joining. The club organises its own races, including the Braunton 10 Mile and 10k and the Arlington Court Canter (3k, 5k and 10k), runs a winter series of 5km and 10km handicap races from the Tarka Tennis Centre, and enters teams of all abilities in the Summer League Relays. Membership benefits include discounts at sports retailers, reduced entry fees for races held under UKA rules, and the chance to enter the club ballot for a TCS London Marathon place (club rules apply).
