Run club in Macedon
Macedon Ranges Running Club (MRRC) is a community outdoor running and walking club in the Macedon Ranges, Victoria, with programs for all levels from complete beginners to more experienced runners. It operates through six branches at Gisborne, Riddells Creek, Romsey/Lancefield, Kyneton, Woodend and Macedon. Programs run throughout the year and include walking groups, a couch-to-5k style introduction and training groups for seasoned runners.
The club runs the Start Running Group (SRG), a nine-week program designed to build up to running 5 kilometres with no pressure to run at a particular pace; an SRG Spring 2026 intake is listed from 5 October to 5 December 2026, meeting at the club's branch sites. Membership is available through the "Become a Member" section of the club website, which also lists branch locations, policies and an FAQ page. The minimum age is 10 years, and members aged 10 to 17 must run alongside a responsible parent or guardian; the club does not run activities aimed at children. The club describes itself as inclusive and welcoming regardless of ability, cultural background, sexual orientation or gender identity, and actively celebrates LGBTIQA+ inclusion. Further contact details are on the club website. Athletics Victoria recreational running club.
