London Western T.F.C.

London Western Track and Field Club (LWTFC) is a not-for-profit, full-service track and field club founded in 1970 in London, Ontario, operating independently of Western University. It caters to all ages and abilities, from ages 7 to 75+, including para-athletes, and covers all event disciplines including distance running and cross country. Most athletes train at least three days a week with a full coaching staff, while elite athletes train up to six days a week.

Training runs year-round, with most members training Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. In the autumn, training groups meet in various parks to suit each group; from early November the club trains indoors at Thompson Arena (which has a track around the rink); after a break in the second half of March, training moves outdoors to TD Stadium, with the outdoor season ending in early August before most members break until September. A detailed practice schedule is available in the club's members-only app, with download details provided after registration. Joining is through the registration link on the club website, and the club has a fundraising scheme through FlipGive. There are competitive opportunities indoors and outdoors at local, regional and national level; athletes are usually responsible for their own meet entries and travel, though the club covers entry fees for certain meets and relay entries at provincial and national championships. Contact details are on the club website. Athletics Canada affiliated club (via AthleticsReg; Cross Country, Long Distance, Middle Distance).
