Hillsborough & Rivelin RC — a run club in Sheffield. England Athletics affiliated club. Activities: cross country, hill fell, road running, track field, trail running.
Membership runs 1 April to 31 March; first claim membership is £43 including the £20 England Athletics registration, second claim membership is £20, with reduced rates of £30 and £10 for those joining after 1 October and 14 months' membership for those joining from February. Discounts are available for people on income support, students and over 65s via the Membership Secretary (hrrcmembers@gmail.com). To join, pay the fee via the Stripe link and complete the Join HRRC form; confirmation follows by email. Runners transferring first claim from another club must resign there and pay the £10 EA transfer fee. Sessions include Monday road runs of six to nine miles from Hillsborough Park split into three or four groups, Tuesday and Thursday track sessions at Chaucer School (Wordsworth Avenue, S5 8NH) led by coaches Simon Bennett and David Palmer, run in six-month blocks at £25 for members and £35 for non-members, Wednesday social road runs from Sharrow Vale Road with a slower group at 18:30, a Wednesday trail run in the Rivelin area and a Monday fell run (both irregular, details posted on the HRRC Clubhouse Facebook page). Pace groups range from about 7:30 minutes/mile to over 10 minutes/mile. Non-running Friday strength and conditioning sessions are also offered at Hinde House School at £2 per session. Peak Performance groups organise extra training through ability-based WhatsApp groups. England Athletics affiliated club.
