Gowran Athletic Club is an athletics club founded in the early 1980s in Gowran village, County Kilkenny, with members drawn from Kilkenny, Carlow, Tipperary, Dublin and the surrounding area. It caters for juveniles and for Senior and Masters athletes aged 19 to 70+, training for track, field, road running, race walking and cross country. Adult training takes the form of regular meet-and-train group sessions, with encouragement to take part in team events.
