Eton Manor AC is a running club serving Leyton, Walthamstow, Leytonstone and Hackney Wick, with a separate youth athletics section. Adult group training runs from the clubhouse in Leyton Jubilee Park on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, plus social runs on Sunday mornings. Typical sessions are interval work, tempo running in pace-based groups, or a choice of social runs over varying distances.
Group training is the main club activity, alongside independent training, races and social events. Tuesday sessions are interval running at fast, recovery and sprint paces, starting with a warm-up run from the clubhouse to the interval location and a group cool-down run back. Thursday sessions are tempo running at around 90% of maximum pace, with three different distances and runners grouped by pace across the three routes. Both Tuesday and Thursday sessions are for runners aged 18 and over, and attendance must be registered via the SPOND app from 24 hours before the session and before travelling. Sunday morning social runs are arranged ad-hoc via SPOND, led by run leaders, and include easy recovery runs, longer marathon-training runs and hill sessions on various routes, with members choosing a distance and pace combination each week; these finish at the clubhouse around 11:00 for coffee and cake. No membership or cost details are given on the site. England Athletics affiliated club.
