Run club in London
Edmonton Running Club is an England Athletics affiliated club founded in 1981 and based at Hazelwood Sports Club in Winchmore Hill, Enfield. It caters for a broad range of running abilities, with sessions led by qualified England Athletics Run Leaders. Typical runs include 5km and 10km evening routes with pace groups, early morning easy runs, speed or hill sessions, and Sunday trail runs.
Up to five running sessions a week, all in the Enfield area. Tuesday club runs offer a choice of 5km and 10km routes with pace groups from 7:30 to 12:00 minutes per mile (the homepage lists a 19:15 start, while the About Us page states 19:00); Thursdays are training-based sessions such as speed or hill repeats, with a track session at the Queen Elizabeth II Stadium on Donkey Lane on the second Thursday of each month. "Wake-Up Wednesday" and "Feel Good Friday" are easy-paced 07:00 runs from Winchmore Hill Green, followed by coffee. Sundays are trail runs from Whitewebbs, with longer groups for those training for long-distance events. The club races in the Herts Road-Racing League, Herts Cross-Country League and Chingford League, runs a summer 5k series and an annual track mile, and stages the Run the River 10k. Full membership for 2026 is ยฃ72 (membership year starts 1 February, sliding scale for joiners from 1 June), with a ยฃ32 rate for full-time students under 25, affiliates and associates; optional England Athletics registration is ยฃ23 extra. Members must be at least 18. Joining is online via the website account system; prospective members may attend up to three free trial sessions, and can also contact the club by email or speak to a committee member at a session. Members are asked to register online for each session they plan to attend. Meeting points can vary, so the ERC events calendar should be checked. England Athletics affiliated club.
