Run club in Cheltenham
CLC Striders โ a run club in Cheltenham. England Athletics affiliated club. Activities: cross country, hill fell, road running, trail running. RunAndTalk club (mental-health friendly).
Two main weekly sessions: a Monday social run in pace groups, each with an experienced leader (winter routes on well-lit Cheltenham pavements, summer routes via Pittville Park and the Racecourse), and Wednesday interval training led by qualified coaches, using the Honeybourne Line in winter and the grass track and sports field at the centre plus Pittville Park in summer; groups may be split by pace. Additional sessions are organised from time to time, such as intervals at the Prince of Wales track or hill repeats at Pittville Park, where a small contribution may be requested towards track hire. A guide pace is being able to run 4 miles (6.4k) in around 36 minutes or less. Monday and Wednesday sessions are free for members, and newcomers can attend a few sessions before committing to join. The club is run by volunteer committee and affiliated to England Athletics; coaches hold CiRF and run leaders LiRF qualifications and are DBS-checked.
