Run club in Camborne
Carn Runners is a running club based in Camborne and Redruth, Cornwall, established in 1991. It caters for runners aged 16 and over of all abilities, from a run-walk group for those not yet running continuously through to competitive club runners. A typical club night offers several pace groups over varying distances, each with a coach or run leader, followed by drinks at the club.
Open to runners of all abilities aged 16 and over, formed in 1991 with around 80 members ranging from age 16 to over pension age. The main club night is Wednesday at Camborne Cricket Club, arriving 18:30 to run at 18:45, with several pace groups from run/walk upwards, each led by a qualified coach or leader, and runs of about 50 minutes over varying distances; refreshments and toilets are available afterwards. Monday runs (18:00) meet at Tehidy Woods / South Wheal Frances, which may not run every week, or at Morrisons Pool; Friday runs (18:00) of 4-5 miles at an easy pace meet at Maen Karne, Upton Towans, TR27 5BL or at Morrisons Pool; Sunday group runs cover longer distances at varying paces and are arranged via club email or the Facebook group. A quarterly run schedule on the website lists Wednesday routes, away runs, track nights and speed sessions. New members can attend up to four club nights free before joining; members receive a club vest, discounted race entries and subsidised club kit.
