Run club in Manchester
Blackley & North Manchester Athletics Club (B&NMAC) is a local athletics and running club based in Blackley, Manchester, established in 1989. It offers coached track and field sessions covering sprinting, middle- and long-distance running alongside jumps and throws, and is open to athletes of all abilities and backgrounds. Training takes place on the Boggart Hole Clough running track.
Sessions run all year round on Monday and Thursday evenings from 19:00 to 20:45, apart from bank holidays and the Christmas/New Year period. Coaching covers sprinting, middle- and long-distance running, hurdles, shot put and long jump, plus fundamentals (agility, balance, co-ordination), strength and conditioning and plyometrics for both beginners and more experienced athletes. Members can compete in track and field, cross-country and Sportshall events. The club states it aims to keep participation affordable; membership is via the "Become a member" section of the website, and the site has a contact page for enquiries and volunteering. A separate Run, Jump, Throw group with Coach Kate is open to athletes aged 11 and over. England Athletics affiliated club.
