About

Bellarine Athletics is a track and field club founded in 1976, originally serving athletes east of Geelong and the Bellarine Peninsula and now drawing members from across the region. It competes in the Athletics Victoria Shield (AVSL) summer season, held at Landy Field in South Geelong from October to April, usually on Saturday afternoons or at twilight meetings. The club says it caters for all ages and abilities, from social participants wanting fitness and fun through to competitive and elite athletes.

Competing for the club in the AVSL requires an Athletics Victoria membership and summer package; alternatively newcomers can pre-enter online as a trialling participant for a single round. Competition age groups for male and female are U14, U16, U18, U20, Open and Veterans, so adults and veterans are catered for alongside juniors. Registration and renewal are handled through a sign-up link on the club website, where contact details for committee members are also listed. The site does not mention regular weekly training sessions or group runs. Athletics Victoria athletics club.
