About

26.2 Road Runners Club is a running club based in Surbiton, south-west London, named after the marathon distance. It welcomes runners of all standards, from beginners and those returning to running through to experienced marathon runners, and members take part in local races over a range of distances. Club activity includes weekly training sessions, an internal Grand Prix race series and team relay events.

Weekly training includes an interval session on Wednesday evenings from 19:00 to 20:15, described as speed and strength work. The club runs a Grand Prix series of races through the year (track mile, 2000 Perch at Epsom Downs, track 3000m, Ashtead 10K and others), with age-graded standings and a requirement to wear a club top to score, plus a handicap series that meets at 19:00 opposite the tennis club entrance or 19:15 at Alexandra Drive Park. Members also enter relay events such as the Nonsuch Relays, Imber Court Relays, River Relay and Green Belt Relay, and the club organises the Valentine's 10k Road Race. There is a try-before-you-buy policy: newcomers can attend a few sessions free with no commitment before paying membership, and membership renewals are handled through the site. The club has a WhatsApp group for notices, news and events and a 26.2 RRC Strava group. England Athletics affiliated club.
